Moebius Poland sequence

Abstract
Background: The Moebius Poland sequence, defined by the joint presence of unilateral or bilateral facial paralysis, agenesis or hypoplasia of the pectoralis major and nipple, in addition to symbrachydactyly ipsilateral to the pectoralis lesion, is very rare. The last report in Colombia reported in the local literature was in 2012 in Barranquilla, Colombia. Case report: Male newborn, pregnancy with irregular prenatal control of late-onset. The mother denies the use of drugs or psychoactive drugs. Prenatal ultrasounds did not report deformities or malformations, with no history of perinatal infections. Spontaneous delivery, eutocic, without complications, adequate neonatal adaptation. Facial paralysis and chest wall defect are seen. Conclusions: The case report is presented because it is a low-frequency condition. The importance of an early diagnosis allows for defining associated injuries or malformations and timely intervention to define an early treatment and rehabilitation plan.
