Abstract

Introduction: Plastic deformities are rare conditions, which mainly affect pediatric patients, who present microfractures that result in the deformation of the diaphysis of the affected bone, without being macroscopically visible. Clinical case: The case of a 6-year-old male patient is presented, who fell from his own height while playing soccer, with a subsequent plastic fracture in the diaphysis of the left radius and ulna, for which traction and contraction were performed. reduction.  Closed, with control radiograph showing alignment with adequate reduction. Discussion: Fractures due to plastic deformity are rare, their diagnosis could go unnoticed taking into account that the clinical picture is not evident in all cases, management must be carried out in a comprehensive manner, in order to reduce complications. Conclusion: Fractures due to plastic deformity in the forearm are rare entities and occur almost exclusively in pediatric patients. The importance of being recognized by the medical population is emphasized, in order to provide timely and appropriate treatment to these patients.
